Students from Florida A&M University (FAMU) took second place in the MuniMod competition in Orlando. The team’s winning product was “Accru,” an application dedicated to matching interested local businesses with city-owned vacant property. Working with local development departments and redevelopment agencies, this proposed database will use multiple mediums to connect businesses and the public at large with vacant municipal properties. The University of West Florida took first place in the competition. FAMU took home a second-place prize of $5,000.
