It’s a brand-new year with new players and hopefully no old tactics

     Ol Pete reviewed the list of three candidates who qualified and interviewed for the job. The pickings were slim.  Not a single applicant had the breadth of experience that one would want for a school district of this size.  With the constant turmoil around this position, The Detective doubts running the ad for longer would have made much difference. The Broward school district hasn’t had a Chief Facilities Officer in more than two years and the ones they had, had all sorts of problems. Coach Travis Harden: The Head Dragon

     The 2023-24 school year marks Travis Harden’s 6th year as the Stranahan High Dragon head football coach, one of the longest tenures in recent History. As an administrator there, I observed his commitment, tenacity and dedication as a  student/athlete and dominant defensive terror under head coach Vince Schivo.  He also spent 8 years as an assistant for his alma mater, a 2001 graduate. Coach Harden earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in sociology with an emphasis on criminal justice from Dubuque University in Iowa. […]
