   The power of a president to issue pardons is derived from Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution: which stipulates: The president shall have power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for offenses against the United States, except in Cases of impeachment. Yet a president has unmitigated power to issue three distinct types of pardons: amnesty, commutation, and reprieve.  Pardoning Nixon literally cast an abominable curse on future presidents not held accountable for their crimes.

      Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is pleased to announce that 3,520 Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) customers will benefit from federal Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) funds to pay for their water and sewer utility bills. Miami-Dade County will receive $8.5 million of the $55 million awarded to the State of Florida through the federal program. The LIHWAP is a federally funded program managed by Florida Commerce to support low-income households in need.

 The shooting and death of Samyiah James,13 year old from North Lauderdale, was reportedly shot near the 7400 block of Southwest 12th Court around 10:42 p.m. by an unknown suspect. 

    The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is releasing a brand-new age progressed image of missing child, Shanythia Greene. The image was created by a forensic artist at NCMEC and shows what Shanythia may look like today at 47 years old.

     In a decision that could significantly impact the 2024 race for the White House, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, overseeing the election interference case against former President Donald Trump, has scheduled the trial to commence on March 4, 2024. The date falls during the Republican presidential primaries and just one day before Super Tuesday.
