Increasing the minimum wage would disproportionately benefit Black workers and push the country closer to racial and economic equality, according to a recent report by the Economic Policy Institute, a non-profit think tank, focused on economic policies that affect low- and middle-income workers.

The Urban League of Broward County, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities and assisting individuals and families in the areas of education, jobs, housing and health, recently turned up the technology switch in their digital classrooms with laptops funded by Fort Lauderdale-based Florida Career College (FCC) as part of a new corporate partnership.
