       Congratulations to the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walsh, a dedicated educator, and military veteran who embodies a commitment to service and community welfare. As we celebrate exemplary leadership that prioritizes inclusivity and justice, it is crucial to reflect on similar values within our local institutions. The recent events within our school board have highlighted concerning disparities and biases that demand urgent scrutiny and action.

       As it turned out, he failed to make a convincing case to most of Black America. He named called. He doubled down on the loss of Black jobs to illegal immigrants. He proved that he was the reigning champion as the Prince of Prevarication. It is commonly believed that all serious politicians lie but no one out-lies Donald Trump. He berated the NABJ for the choice of questions and the lack of a prompt starting time. He knighted himself as the best president to the Black American community since Abraham Lincoln while boasting of Black advancement during his administration. He did not change the channel. He was clear.

       The National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) has learned that Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, has chosen Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz as her running mate after much speculation and a whirlwind of last-minute vetting and interviewing candidates.

       Fueling Harris’s campaign is a historic fundraising effort. Team Harris announced a staggering $310 million raised in July, marking the largest single-month haul of the 2024 cycle. The Trump campaign and RNC combined contributions for the same period pale in comparison to this record-breaking amount, resulting from an unprecedented grassroots fundraising surge. Notably, over $200 million was raised in the week following President Biden’s endorsement of Harris.

       The Vice-President’s electoral history is well-know, and I recount it for a reason. Kamala Harris earned increasing responsibility by running for office and winning. There is no diversity, equity and inclusion in electoral politics. The only way you move up is to get more votes than your opponent. If there is any DEI in the Harris record, it’s Definitely Earned It.

       The campaign will commence with a six-week radio advertisement featuring Wisconsin U.S. Senate candidates Eric Hovde (R) and Tammy Baldwin (D), highlighting their stances on abortion rights. Although the ACLU said it does not endorse or oppose candidates, the effort by the ACLU Voter Education Fund seeks to provide voters with essential information on where candidates stand on crucial issues, particularly abortion rights.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a persistent elevation in blood pressure diagnosed when repeated measurements over time exceed normal values. While it is often discussed in the context of adults, childhood hypertension is a serious condition that parents should be aware of, even though it is rarely talked about. In children and adolescents, blood pressure typically increases with age and height, meaning that normal blood pressure values change yearly, much like height and weight. According to medical experts, hypertension in children can be detected as early as three years old.
