Originally known as Armistice Day, it marked the end of World War I on November 11th, 1918. Today, this global observance takes many forms: a two-minute silence in the UK, ceremonies in Kenya, and National Independence Day in Poland. These traditions highlight the universal respect for veterans’ service that transcends borders.
