Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC) is celebrating 50 years of journalism, marking a half-century of commitment to excellence in journalism education. As part of the celebration, the annual “Grads Are Back” program is scheduled during Homecoming Week beginning Tuesday, October 28, through Thursday, October 31. This year’s theme, “Grads Are Back 2024: Unified Voices of Truth, Integrity and Impact,” reflects the school’s enduring commitment to accurate, fact-based storytelling.

The latest analysis reveals that all 90 federal agencies with law enforcement officers are now participating in NLEAD, contributing to a database that covers over 4,300 officers involved in more than 5,300 incidents of misconduct reported over the last seven years.

This exhibition, opening on her birthday, November 8th, 2024, at the Ali Cultural Arts Center, features artists from across the United States who have created artwork inspired by her remarkable life. The opening reception is free and open to the public, and the exhibition will be on view through January 4, 2025
