     In 2021, Trump became the first president in history to be impeached twice. In March 2023, he became the first president in history to face criminal charges after being charged with 34 felonies in New York. It appears that crime and corruption follow the former president where ever he lies down to sleep.

Kaylan Striggles and Richard Yeargin III is proud to announce, “Father to Fatherless,” a transformative event aimed at empowering fathers or father figures, including women, to guide young men in their search for identity within minority communities. This event will take place on June 16th, starting at 6pm with meet and greet opportunities, including pictures and a book signing with the author. The program will commence promptly at 7pm, providing a platform for open discussions and networking.

 In February 2023, the Florida Department of Education convened a statewide group of content experts to review current state academic standards for alignment to s. 1003.42 F.S., as amended by House Bill 7 (2022). After their initial review, the decision was made to draft a new K-12 African American History strand of social studies standards and benchmarks.

     The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Iota Pi Lambda Chapter, provided eight high school graduates from the South Dade community with scholarships as part of the organization’s  “Go to High School, Go to College” national initiative. Close to $8,000 in scholarships were awarded through the Iota Pi Lambda Education Foundation.
