The City of Pompano Beach (City) and the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) have issued an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) for a Master Developer to help the City and CRA create a new Downtown and realize the vision of an exciting destination for businesses, residents, tourists, and other investment stakeholders. In preparation for this ITN, the CRA hired globally acclaimed real estate firm CBRE as the exclusive agent to broadly market the opportunity and analyze responses for a Master Real Estate Developer for the +/-75.38-acres of publicly-owned land assemblages along the I-95 corridor. The City and CRA hope to secure a development partner by September 2022 and begin implementation of the new Downtown in 2023

Formed in 2007, Spred the Dub has been building a steady following in South Florida with an intoxicating blend of jazz, soul, funk, reggae, ska and dub. The Miami Herald said, “…their sound is an eclectic mash up of grooves and ‘riddems’ incorporating elements of reggae, jazz, funk, soul and good old rock n’ roll which reflects the cultural melting pot that is their home.” The group has played stages all over the state of Florida, opening for nationally touring acts such as Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Dirty Heads, The Mystic Roots Band, The Movement and reggae legends such as The Skatalites, Eek-A-Mouste, Black Uhuru and Yellowman.
“We are honored to be able to present these renowned authors in conjunction with National LGBTQ+ Pride Month,” said Phyllis Korab, Cultural Affairs Director. “We invite you to join us in our efforts to create and expand opportunities for meaningful and impactful dialogue.”
The investigation will include a comprehensive review of LSP policies, training, supervision, and force investigations, as well as LSP’s systems of accountability, including misconduct complaint intake, investigation, review, disposition, and discipline.
