Be careful who and what you use for support

“But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So [the other men] took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”     Exodus 17:12 (AMP)

    By Bobby R. Henry, Sr.

As I was strengthening the support to repel water from damaging our kitchen cabinets by applying silicone around the kitchen sink to keep the moister from destroying the wood material that incases the granite supporting the sink, I noticed that the support system was too loose.

If this instability continued, our sink would end up as a figment of our imagination only to become a water basin on the floor of our kitchen cabinet.

Now, I had to determine what I would do to secure the support system.

Several options came to mind; would I develop a crutch system of my own construction and if I did, what type of materials would I use or would I inquire about professional help?

Life is like that when our lives are in need of a bit of construction and we could do with some quantity support.

As we ascertain the severity of the condition, we must decide on the type of material to be used. We need to understand just how far the damage has spread, can we repair it ourselves or do we seek professional help.

A lot of the times when we try to fix it ourselves, we use substandard materials like drugs, alcohol or some other mind altering substitute which only masks our physical, mental or spiritual dysfunctions.

This impairment and need for support, if not properly addressed, can cause unwanted  circumstances with unfortunate and unhealthy conducts that cause one to function in an abnormal way.

All supports can become addictive so we need to be mindful of what we want or need to be addicted to.

What do we do when we are under construction?

I would offer that we go to the manual of Self Reconstruction which outlines the necessary Basic Information Before Leaving Earth, and that number one book of all times is the Bible – God’s Holy Word.

In that book of instructions and directions from God, you will find all of the self-help you need to support and reconstruct or add a new foundation to your life.

When is it too late to seek out appropriate support for a leaning structure in need of shoring up for the long haul.

“Dear Lord, I come to you with a broken foundation, leaning on weary legs with arms to worn-out to raise them to reach up and grab Your hand. My soul is troubled, yet my spirit calls out to You-hear me Lord I pray I’m on my last building block but I realize I need You in every way.”   — Bobby R. Henry, Sr.

When your earthly house is in need of repair and your foundation is crumbling, seek the Master Builder-God. He will repair, restore and reinvigorate your life.

    Be careful.
