Submitted by Ammoie Buchanan, Corresponding Secretary

Congratulations! The International Affairs (IAD) of the International District congratulates you for your success as a leader in your endeavors as organizer of The Fort Lauderdale Club of the Nanbpwc, Inc. and President of the Broward County Chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States of America for 13 years. You represent your chapter as the UNA/USA, a program of the United Nations Foundation. For the past two years you visited Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to meet with senators and other members of Congress to discuss issues of UN importance as well as to introduce more than 100 scholars and renowned artists, officials and dignitaries during your annual UN Day Celebration.

As you know NANBPWC, Inc. was organized in 1935 and among its missions is to improve the quality of life in our local and global communities and to foster good fellowship among its people. Each year, the association awards individuals at the United Nations for their endeavors globally or locally. This year, The National Association has adopted the theme, “Lets” (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Service). You have been nominated for your successful role as a leader in all your endeavors, which meets the criteria of the association mission and theme.

The International Excellence Leader Award will be presented to you on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 during the luncheon at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel on 44th Street in New York. The briefing session begins at 9 a.m. and the UN tour commences at 11:15 a.m. and awards luncheon begins at 12:30 p.m.

The IAD applauds you for your exemplary leadership endeavors, we look forward to welcome and congratulate you on this occasion.
