By Fernandez Lieth

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – As part of its commitment to providing advanced cardiac care, Broward Health Coral Springs expanded its state-of-the-art cardiac services by adding a second cardiac catheterization lab.

The hospital’s new 4,102-square-foot bi-plane cath lab can capture two sets of images simultaneously with just one injection of contrast.

“We’re thrilled to have this powerful tool at the hospital so that our patients have timely access to even more high level interventional and vascular services closer to home,” said Mohamed Osman, M.D., interventional cardiologist and medical director of the interventional cardiology program at Broward Health Coral Springs.

Among the state-of-the-art procedures now available through the expanded cath lab include:

Electrophysiology mapping and imaging systems, which are used to guide transcatheter cardiac ablation procedures.

Interventional neurovascular services, which involves advanced procedures to diagnosed and treat neurologically related vascular conditions.
