DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – Broward Health North (BHN) hospital announced the opening of their new Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), a 4,200-square foot addition that will provide state-of-the-art recovery space for post-operative patients.

The new PACU has doubled the amount of available patient beds to 16, and includes a negative pressure isolation room.

The care unit contains all new equipment, monitors and computers, and has a separate dictation area for physicians. In addition to a spacious new waiting room, consultation rooms are available for patients and families to have private conversations with physicians.

“The staff at Broward Health North is constantly working to provide the best in every aspect of patient care,” said Pauline Grant, CEO of BHN. “This PACU will enhance our ability to provide a five-star experience to our patients and their families.”
