Broward Health North opens new Post Anesthesia Care Unit
New addition offers new equipment, waiting room and enhanced patient privacy

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – Broward Health North (BHN) hospital announced the opening of their new Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), a 4,200-square foot addition that will provide state-of-the-art recovery space for post-operative patients.
The new PACU has doubled the amount of available patient beds to 16, and includes a negative pressure isolation room.
The care unit contains all new equipment, monitors and computers, and has a separate dictation area for physicians. In addition to a spacious new waiting room, consultation rooms are available for patients and families to have private conversations with physicians.
