Broward offering free immunization for school-age children

In preparation for the start of school, the Florida Department of Health in Broward County is offering free immunizations for school age children.

Free immunizations will be offered now through Aug. 20 inside the Lauderhill Mall at located at 1299E N.W. 40Ave.

In order to be vaccinated, each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The child’s immunization record must be presented.

Florida requires certain vaccines to be administered before children may enroll or attend childcare.

Hours for the vaccinations are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on Thursdays when the shots will be offered until 7 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 17 the hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
