In April of 2020, as the COVID-19 virus raged across the nation, and cities and businesses shut down due to various lockdown orders, the City of Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (HBCRA) created the $500,000 Coronavirus Small Business Sustainability and Recovery Loan Program for businesses within the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). The program was comprised of two separate loans: The Business Employment Bridge Loan, which provided a potentially forgivable bridge loan in the amount of $50,000 to businesses in order for them to maintain and/or rehire risk employees, and The Emergency Business Cash Infusion Loan, which provided a $15,000 loan for businesses.  

     The Center for American Progress has long advocated for pro-voter and anti-corruption policies and has been a leading member of the Declaration for American Democracy, a diverse coalition of more than 170 organizations representing tens of millions of Americans in demanding strong, clear solutions to make our democracy more representative of everyday Americans.

     “There’s a bunch of research about the value add of Black teachers in school. It turns out that Black teachers help all students to perform better,” he pronounced. “White students perform better too. When Black people do well, everyone does well. The problem is that when others do well without us doing well, they leave us behind,” concluded Biddle, who leads advocacy efforts to ensure that more African American students will be college-ready and better prepared to enroll in and complete college.
