— It was an unforgettable ride, packed with nonstop action and entertainment as Broward Education Foundation took flight with BrightStar Credit Union’s TOP FUN presented by Office Depot at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort to raise funds for students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools.
Haley Taylor Schlitz isn’t old enough to buy a drink, but at 19 years old, she is on track to become Southern Methodist University’s youngest law school graduate. According to a news release from SMU, Taylor Schlitz was admitted to nine different law schools in 2019, finally enrolling at the Dedman School of Law in Dallas.
The Supervisor of Elections Office would like to congratulate all participating schools, students and staff for their outstanding hard work and commitment during the High School Voter Registration Drive.
“The commissioning of USS Fort Lauderdale is the result of many years of coordination and hard work by our lawmakers, commissioning committee, civic leaders, contractors, industry specialists, and especially our Sailors,” Quaresimo said. “I couldn’t be prouder of the uniformed men and women who gave a mountain of cold steel form and a heartbeat. And in turn they should be proud of what they’ve done.”
To protect renters against abrupt evictions, members of the Broward County Commissioners are taking steps to help.
In studying hand mudras in preparation for this year’s journey, I learned so much. Not only can we heal our own bodies, as our bodies are designed to naturally heal itself, but hand mudras help to “seal” energies to create the atmosphere for the healing. Everyone has done a hand mudra at some point in their lives even if they did not realize what they were doing or in tune with the benefits of it. For example, holding hands in prayer is a mudra. As the fingertips touch each other, there are subtle things happening inside of the body so it makes sense as there is a calmness when praying that we feel when using this mudra even if we may not have paid attention to it. Also, those that practice yoga or meditation have most likely incorporated hand mudras into their practice in some way.
Fort Lauderdale Federal Building was the location for an Abortion Rights Rally held on Saturday by Broward County Democrats. The rally was held to show support for Women’s Rights and to protest the appearance of impending roll back measures restricting women’s access to abortions currently being considered by the U. S. Supreme Court.
