Whether itâs community service, advocacy or building and fostering business and community relationships, I see it as my duty to be informed and engaged in my community to inspire my generation and generations behind me to give back and be of service. What Do We Don Now?
    Montage: A Film Series is a program designed to link communities and people through the art of filmmaking and culture. Montage returns for its 2020 season in celebration of Black History Month for a screening of Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People. Montage takes place Thursday, February 27 at 7 p.m., at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Tickets are FREE and are available at www.ccpompano.org or at the door.
    On Sunday(2//16/20) at 4 p.m., at the Dillard High School of the Performing Arts auditorium, I attended a DCA Jazz Ensemble performance entitled âHISTORY OF JAZZâ.
More than 40 Broward County middle and high school students came together for United Way of Broward Countyâs Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Preventionâs Broward Youth Coalition (BYC) Youth United Summit entitled, â20/20: The VisionâŚThe MissionâŚA Better Broward!â on Monday, January 20th at United Way of Broward Countyâs offices in Fort Lauderdale.
A Lesson In The Through Opera
      This week, program participants were taught important photography concepts and terms by Mr. Jerrod Martin, a local videographer.
    For starters, I began my first college class at Broward College. Out of the 25 students, I am the only high schooler in this intro to speech communications class, and so far I am loving it.
