America would be better off with no Trump

     Former President Donald Trump was convicted by a 12-person jury in New York State Court of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, in violation of New York Penal Law § 175.10.

     The Conservative Right, which is manifesting itself in election officials of the Republican Party and now the United States Supreme Court itself, would seek to roll back all social gains made since the Brown Decision of 1954, which in effect reversed the “separate but equal” Jim Crow doctrine which was further outlawed with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1965. This law and the Voting Rights Act gave new meaning to the “Equal Protection Clause” of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

      There’s a breathtaking hubris at work when a political party seeks to suppress the votes of an entire people, then claims its leaders are the champions of that same people. You don’t have to look far to find such hubris in the Republican Party today.

    Black men don’t jump on the Trump political patty wagon. Donald Trump is pretending to be your friend, posing as your savior and benefactor, and acting like your comforter in these times of trouble.

     Justice in America isn’t always blind or impartial for privileged white people. The privileged treatment afforded former president Trump is detestable and unlawful. Consequently, the criminal indictment of Trump on March 25, 2023, followed by his guilty conviction on  May 30, 2024, are both dates of infamy.

To implement this law, the nations of the world have established a UN Security Council (to maintain international peace and security) and a variety of international courts, including the UN’s International Court of Justice (which adjudicates disputes between nations and gives advisory opinions on international legal issues) and the International Criminal Court (which prosecutes individuals for crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression).
