Disingenuously, President Biden is relegated as too old to run again for the 2024 presidency. Amazingly, members of the democratic party have joined the chorus of Republicans marking Biden as a senior citizen liability for the world’s most powerful democracy. But the truth of the matter is, what they really fear is that if something should happen to Biden, America gets its first Black woman Vice President to achieve another first.
The judges in former President Donald Trump’s Washington, D.C. case are both women of color. The Magistrate ordered “The Babayka” not to speak or write about witnesses and officers of the court but Trump ignored the orders and continued to post threats and other disparaging comments on social media.
Well, I’m sad to say the lawyers are right. However, Trump cannot lie to overturn elections, lie to obstruct justice, lie to deny voters rights to fair elections; or lie to encourage coups and insurrections against the government and citizens of the United States.

Under President Biden, the rate of inflation has been more than cut in half, employers have created more than 13 million jobs, wage growth has outpaced inflation, and the unemployment rate of Black workers is at a record-breaking, historic low. Now, the administration wants the public to give them credit.
We’re seeing that proven across the Midwest from Illinois to North Dakota where unlikely allies with different interests and perspectives are joined in fighting against several multi-state carbon dioxide pipelines proposed by huge agribusiness and fossil fuels companies.
You would be hard-pressed to find a nation without a creation myth. Such myths are the fountainhead of justifications for most belligerent acts by one group of people against another.
Water is life! Yeah, so what, says Abbott and those who support this law. Critics call it the Death Star Law. Texas Rep. Greg Casar, who recently staged a nine-hour thirst strike on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in protest of such laws — such indifference to the health and lives of so many American workers — said that Abbott, along with other GOP governors like Ron DeSantis, “are participating in the cruelty olympics, trying to outdo each other.”
America’s democracy throughout its existence has faced multiple threats such as the Civil War followed by two World wars and the January 6, 2021, insurrection. Yet, none of these threats rise to the level of the current threat posed by former president Trump’s third presidential campaign.
