Count the Ways Black Folks are Dying in the Age of Covid-19

      There are very few statistics in America on how many Black people have died as a result of the coronavirus. There is a high chance everyone knows someone who has died. Everyone is walking around with a broken heart, and dying will become a part of living during the pandemic epidemic. Everything that is bad comes to Blacks first in disproportional numbers. Our healthcare outcomes are the worst in the country, which is no surprise. In addition to all of that, recently more police and white men are using Black people as target practice.

Ebola ’14 vs. Covid ‘19

      Security, claim peace scientists, is the experience and expectation of well-being. Analyzing management of the major 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa is instructive given Covid 19’s global rampage. Despite internal UN dysfunction, especially the veto system pitting members at cross-purposes, that organization proved its worth.

Response to Lost Week’s Killings: An Open Letter to America

We have heard the frustration of senseless killings for years. Our anger seems to taper off following each tragedy, only to ignite again when we hear about a new one. These killings are happening so often that many have become immune to them. We must not accept these egregious senseless acts anymore. PERIOD!!! NO MORE!!!!
