Dora Daniels James passed August 24 in Miami, Florida. Born an only child in Dallas County Alabama, she grew up in Pensacola, FL. She married Henry Leon Daniels and raised daughters Veronica, Dianne and Joyce. Dora, who graduated from Alabama State University, majored in Elementary Education and taught in Broward County for over 32 years. She also founded and directed âYoung Yearsâ daycare center, until retiring.

      On Saturday, August 8, 2020, the Mount Herman AME Church family celebrated the home going of Joshua David Scruggs. Born on December 23, 1957 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he departed this life on July 28, 2020 in Lauderhill, Florida. Joshua was the younger of two siblings, along with Frank Jr, born of the union of Frank P. Scruggs and Frances W. Scruggs, both of whom preceded him in death.Â

Born on January 4, 1934 in Lake City Florida, his formative education was completed in the Lake City School System, subsequently graduating from Richardson High School in 1954 as class president.
