BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Celebrate, “The Birth of an American Sound: The Blues”, with the Joey Gilmore Band, live at Jan Moran Collier City Learning Library. Come celebrate the history of the Blues and learn about the importance of this genre to the history of music in America and around the world on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at 6 p.m., $10 donation at the door.

Gilmore has shared the stage with artists such as James Brown, Etta James, Bobby Bland, Little Milton, Johnny Taylor. In 2006, Joey travelled to Memphis to compete in the International BLUES Challenge, the most distinguished and internationally coveted award in Blues.
