FORT LAUDERDALE  FL – Community Church of God proudly commemorated the enduring legacy of Elder Diana O Eubanks, Co-Founder of the esteemed institution, alongside her late husband, the revered Reverend Dr. J. Curtis Eubanks, Sr. The unveiling of a permanent cornerstone in her honor stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to faith, education, and community service.

Elder Diana O Eubanks, fondly remembered as Teacher Di, envisioned the inception of Community Christian School in 1998, recognizing the imperative of a Christian-based education intertwined with academic excellence. Under her visionary leadership, the school flourished, instilling Christian principles in its curriculum and nurturing generations of students into thought leaders and world-changers.

Elder Di addressed the excited crowd “I am just so humbled by this. I only know one person that has a cornerstone, my mother, Lucille Plummer for her work alongside Dr. Martin Luther King in the civil rights movement. Sadly, she was not alive to see it. So I’m thankful to be honored while I am still living. I love you all.”

Senior Pastor Jeffrey Compere, Sr., and Dr. Ruth Compere, in acknowledgment of Elder Eubanks’ profound impact, highlighted her dedication to the Fort Lauderdale community. Her leadership exemplified Christ-centered values, characterized by unwavering love, fairness, and sacrificial service to students, families, and staff alike.

Today, Community Christian School continues its rich tradition, celebrated as one of Broward County’s top daycares. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, it prepares socially adept three and four-year-olds for advanced kindergarten placement, embodying the timeless wisdom of Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way they should go, and they will not depart from it.”

The unveiling of the cornerstone stands as a poignant reminder of Elder Diana O Eubanks’ enduring legacy, inspiring future generations to embrace faith, education, and community service with unwavering dedication.

Note to Editors: High-resolution images of the cornerstone unveiling ceremony and quotes from Senior Pastor Jeffrey Compere, Sr., Dr. Ruth Compere, and Farah Cantave are available upon request.
