POMPANO BEACH, FL — The Eta Nu Education Foundation proudly announces its 7th Annual Benefit Gala and Achievement Awards, set for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Tru by Hilton Pompano Beach Pier, 200 North Ocean Boulevard. This highly anticipated evening will celebrate excellence, leadership, and lifelong service to the community.

This year’s event will pay special tribute to Dr. Dorsey Columbus Miller, the 35th Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., who will receive the Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.   The honor recognizes Dr. Miller’s extraordinary six-decade legacy as an educator, civic activist, and entrepreneur, whose impact continues to uplift his fraternity, community, and state.

Born in New York and raised in Ocala, Dr. Miller’s journey of purpose began early. A gifted scholar, he attended Morehouse College, where he was deeply influenced by the legendary president Dr. Benjamin E. Mays. At Morehouse, he was inspired by the men of Omega Psi Phi, Psi Chapter, whose leadership, dignity, and presence drew him into a lifelong brotherhood.

His dedication to service and education carried him to the highest ranks of Omega Psi Phi, where as Grand Basileus, he oversaw the historic relocation of the fraternity’s international headquarters from Washington, D.C., to Decatur, Georgia—a lasting legacy of vision and leadership.

Dr. Miller’s career also includes distinguished service as an administrator with the Broward County School Board, as well as success in the private sector as a small business owner. A man grounded in faith and family, he shares his life with his beloved wife, Betty, and their sons Eric and Dorsey III—both proud members of Omega Psi Phi—who have blessed them with grandchildren that continue the family’s proud legacy.

A devoted member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Dr. Miller often reflects on his faith, proclaiming his gratitude to “My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon.”

The selection of Brother Dr. Dorsey Columbus Miller as this year’s honoree reflects Eta Nu’s commitment to honoring those who embody excellence, faith, and service to mankind.

    General Admission: Individual tickets – $150 | Table for ten – $1,450
