Fisk University Bulldog Gymnastics Team made history on the final day of Black History Month, achieving a groundbreaking victory that continues to cement their legacy in sports history.
On Saturday, the team secured their place in history by becoming the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) gymnastics program to defeat both NCAA Division I Southeast Missouri State University and Division II University of Bridgeport.
The Bulldogs not only made history with their victories, but also recorded their highest scores ever in the program’s history, including a 194.6 overall team score, 48.925 on floor, and 49.25 on bars.
