    Get information on food banks in Broward County and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A number of non-profit organizations, churches and charities operate across the region and provide free food to the low income and needy. Some pantries near you also provide clients with additional services, such as Meals on Wheels for senior citizens or the disabled.

    Each and every year tens of thousands of families as well as individuals across Broward County get some form of assistance from the food banks, emergency pantries, and soup kitchens. Many of the agencies coordinate resources with state or national food distribution distribution groups or other local charities and churches. Each organization is committed to helping as many people as possible feed themselves and their families. For example, learn about and get help applying for public aid from SNAP food stamps or WIC. Many of the food banks also provide clothing, diapers, baby formula, and Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and gifts.

    As the name implies, they help senior citizens or the disabled. Free hot meals, food, recreational activities, and information on SSI may be offered.     A regional outlet of Feeding America. they help with benefit applications including WIC – Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children or SNAP food stamps. They also help feed Broward County students during the summer and operate a free, client choice food pantry with formula, hygiene or cleaning supplies and more.

    Broward Meals On Wheels

    Family Success Centers are located across Broward County. While housing is a focus, they can also refer clients to public aid, including SNAP food stamps.
