FORT LAUDERDALE/BROWARD NAACP CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH  “THE LAW AND THE BLACK JUDGE” A TRIBUTE TO THE SIX BLACK JUDGES SERVING ON BROWARD COUNTY’S 17TH CIRCUIT

                                                                                                

WHO:             Fort Lauderdale/Broward Branch NAACP

 

WHAT:           On February 28, 2013, the NAACP will celebrate Black History month by  honoring                                                                

the Six Black Judges currently serving on bench in Broward County. The Community will re-affirm  their commitment to the struggle ahead and celebrate the historic journey toward equality that has culminated in the election and appointment of the these Black Judges

 

The Fort Lauderdale/Broward NAACP will host “The Law and the Black Judge” featuring:

 

Judge Ken Gillespie

Judge Ilona Holmes

Judge Ian Richards

Judge Mary Robinson

Judge Michael Robinson   

Judge Elijah Williams 

The NAACP will mark the 104th  year  celebrating the (6) six Black judges that are  currently on the serving in Broward and discussing the lack of Diversity on the Bench.
