Gangsta genius – Nine year old boy is world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional

Jomiloju Tunde-Oladipo has joined the elite group of Microsoft Certified Professionals. This feat has put Nigeria on the information communication technology map because Jomiloju is only nine years old. The boy passed the examination given to become a Microsoft Office Certified Professional for Office Word 2010. The sixth grade student is considered the youngest certified professional for 2013.
Jomiloju is a student of Role Model School and has broken the record set by a 10- year- old boy, Seyi-Ojo Anjolaoluwa who is also from Nigeria. He took the 2013 examination last July when he was still in the fifth grade. Prior to the exam, he passed every preparatory test. Jomiloju was intensely taught at his school and further received trainings from an ac-credited training company in information communication technology, United Global Re-sources Ltd.
According center manager Odion Oyakhire, the school is encouraging every student to learn information communication technology and become certified. The examination is coordinated by Oyakhire’s company for different schools. He further said that the firm is very proud of the achievements of Jomiloju as well as of the Role Model School.
Prior to Jomiloju’s certification, he also brought glory to his school when he and his group won a competition on information communication technology in June 2013. The school bested the other 15 schools which participated in Lagos. This quiz competition was sponsored by United Global Resources.
Jomiloju got 769 points in the Microsoft Certification examination. His score is 69 points higher than the 700 minimum required points for a person to become a Microsoft Office Specialist. He took the Microsoft certification with 20 other students in Lagos. When he was interviewed, the young boy said the examination was very difficult, and that his persistence and hard work had paid off. Actually, the examination isn’t new to him because he failed to be certified when he took it last year.
