Iverson’s wife wants him in jail over non-payment of child support

    By Your Black World

When you have five kids and an ex-wife, you’re going to have bills to pay.  This is especially true if you’ve earned hundreds of millions of dollars during a long career in the NBA.  Allen Iverson is being pushed by his ex-wife Tawanna, who is livid over his complete neglect of child support obligations made during their divorce a few months ago.

According to Tawanna’s lawyers, Iverson hasn’t made one single child support payment during the first five months of their agreement. The former star is legally obligated to pay $8,000 per month for five children.  This is actually a modest amount for someone who once earned more than a million dollars per month.  But Iverson hasn’t saved much of this money, which has put him in very bad financial shape.

A few months ago, a judge publicly attacked Iverson for being a horrible parent, saying that he “doesn’t know how to manage the children,” and that he has undermined their “spiritual and emotional growth and development.”

Tawanna and Allen are set to appear in court again soon to talk about the $40,000 he owes and their five children.  This day probably won’t go well for Iverson.
