Make Some Noise and Represent as the Marlins Take on the Giants

MIAMI — South Florida’s rich Black heritage, culture, and contributions will take center stage when the Miami Marlins host their annual South Florida Black Legacy Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026, at loanDepot park.

The special event invites families, community leaders, alumni, organizations, and baseball fans from across the region to come together for an evening of pride, recognition, and celebration as the Marlins face the San Francisco Giants.

The South Florida Black Legacy Celebration honors the enduring impact of African Americans throughout South Florida while highlighting the achievements, history, and cultural contributions that continue to shape the community. The event also pays tribute to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and recognizes the groundbreaking legacy of the Negro Leagues, whose players helped pave the way for generations of athletes.

Fans can participate by purchasing a South Florida Black Legacy ticket package, which includes an exclusive commemorative jersey available in limited quantities. Organizers encourage supporters to purchase tickets early, as the special-edition jerseys are expected to sell quickly.

Beyond the festivities, the celebration serves a greater purpose by supporting organizations that preserve Black history and promote community advancement. A portion of proceeds from the event benefits organizations including the Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) South Florida Chapter.

The annual gathering reflects the Marlins’ ongoing commitment to honoring diversity, preserving history, and investing in the communities that make South Florida unique.

Groups of 10 or more interested in attending together can contact the Miami Marlins Group Sales Department for special arrangements.

Bring your family, wear your colors, and join the celebration as South Florida comes together to honor its Black legacy while cheering on the Marlins. Make some noise, represent your community, and be part of an unforgettable night at loanDepot park.
