Florida A&M University’s quarterback room is set for another shakeup as redshirt junior Junior Muratovic has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Muratovic, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound signal-caller from Orlando, has been a steady presence for the Rattlers over the past several seasons, serving primarily as a backup but stepping into the starting role when called upon.
His journey at FAMU has been marked by patience and perseverance. He has backed up a succession of starters, including Rasean McKay, Jeremy Moussa, and Daniel Richardson.
During his time in Tallahassee, Muratovic appeared in multiple games, making two career starts and completing 53 of 104 passes for 500 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions.
He was lauded for his leadership and deep understanding of the playbook, qualities made him a respected figure in the locker room and a trusted option for the coaching staff.
He started two games in his career against Fort Valley State in 2021 and Lincoln (CA) in 2023.
After Richardson’s graduation, FAMU secured Central Michigan transfer Tyler Jefferson, who is expected to compete for the starting job in 2025. Muratovic was considered a candidate, especially after a strong showing in the annual Orange and Green spring game, where he threw for two touchdowns.
