Miami Dolphins host multiple Thanksgiving meal distributions throughout South Florida
The Miami Dolphins organization continued their long-standing tradition of donating Thanksgiving meals to families in need throughout South Florida.
Dolphin players, coaches and members of the Miami Dolphins Women’s Organization (MDWO) have donated money to provide 750 Thanksgiving meals to families from Miami Dade and Broward Counties in conjunction with Feeding South Florida.
The team, along with cheerleaders and T.D. distributed Thanksgiving meals from Publix and drinks, courtesy of Pepsi, to preselected families at the team’s training facility on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
The organization also hosted additional Thanksgiving Meal Giveaways on Nov. 20 at Sun Life Stadium. It is estimated that more than 900 meals and 200 individual turkeys will be provided and that approximately 9,000 people will be touched and benefit from this year’s Thanksgiving meals distribution.
Families that received meals had been chosen in advance by participating charities.
