On Wednesday night, Mike Tyson was spotted hitting a fellow passenger on a plane at the San Francisco airport, leaving the victim with a bleeding forehead.

Tyson, on the other hand, claims he was reacting to a rowdy passenger who had been pestering him and had thrown a water bottle at him.

In an email to DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for Tyson said, ‘Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”

Police responded to the scene and apprehended two people suspected of being involved in the brawl TMZ reports. One person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but the individual ‘provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation.’

When approached by DailyMail.com, San Francisco police refused to specify the individuals.

It’s unclear whether Tyson and the claimed victim were on the plane when it took off for Fort Lauderdale. When asked if Tyson had been detained, his spokesperson remained mum.

The former heavyweight champion is shown on cell phone video hitting a supposedly too enthusiastic fan who sat right behind him.

As per TMZ, the man, whose identity hasn’t been revealed, had a friendly discussion with Tyson at first. According to a witness, the man and a companion greeted the 55-year-old boxing legend, as they boarded the plane and even had their picture taken with him.

Tyson apparently grew weary of the fan’s antics and ordered him to be quiet. Tyson reportedly stood, turned, and landed multiple blows to the man’s face and forehead after the man continued talking.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Mike, come on, stop that,” a witness is heard shouting on the cell phone video.

The individual tossing a water bottle at Tyson was not captured on the mobile phone video.

Another footage from the plane shows the wake of the incident, with the man’s forehead stained with blood.

“My boy just got beat up by Mike Tyson,” the man filming the footage claimed. “Yeah, he got f***ed up. Just trying to ask for an autograph. I don’t know what happened.”

“It appears that the incident occurred entirely in San Francisco,” a Fort Lauderdale airport police official stated, adding that their department had “no involvement.”
