The Florida Panthers are one victory away from sweeping the formidable Carolina Hurricanes, winning the NHL Eastern Conference and potentially capturing their second consecutive Stanley Cup. However, on Memorial Day at Amerant Arena the Carolina Hurricane pride said not so fast to a sweep, defeating the Panthers 3-0 and sending the series back to Charlotte. The Panthers dominated the Hurricanes in the first 3 games, out scoring them 16-4, winning the first 2 games on the road. Despite the home loss, the Panthers have positioned themselves to win the Eastern Conference in route to an epic final against the Conner McDavid led Edmonton Oilers. Clinching the series over Carolina will make the Panthers the ninth team in NHL history to reach the Stanley Cup Final in three straight seasons, while endeavoring to win consecutive championships.
Last season, they defeated the Edmonton Oilers in seven games to win their first-ever Cup. I had to give them some love as our Panthers continue to keep the South Florida sports scene relevant.

He quickly reminded me of other notable superhuman athletes like Michael Jordan, Jim Brown, Deion Sanders, Charles Woodson and Bo Jackson. What say you?
