    Parkway Middle School Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Feast Drive, Serving Over 200 Families

           LAUDERHILL, FL — Parkway Middle School continued its tradition of unity and community support with this year’s Thanksgiving Feast, bringing families together for food baskets, fellowship, and celebration. Over 200 families participated in the event, marking more than 15 years of consistent community impact.

        This year’s feast drive was made possible through the partnership between Parkway Middle School with Principal Eric D O’Neal and Warm Hearts Mentorship Services, led by Director Veronne McMain. Their collaboration ensured that families were welcomed with warmth, organization, and a joyful holiday experience.

        “Our goal has always been to show families that they’re not alone,” said Veronne McMain, Director of Warm Hearts Mentorship Services. “Seeing our community come together year after year reminds us why this work matters.”

    Event Highlights

    – Over 200 families attended the Thanksgiving Feast Drive

    – More than a decade of serving the community

    – Strong partnership between Parkway Middle School & Warm Hearts Mentorship Services

    – Supported by local partners including: Dunns River Island Cafe, JET Express, GBA Greg Brewton & Associates, WM–Tom Raines #484, 99Jamz, C.R.O.W.N., and PFA of South Florida

    Upcoming Holiday Giveback

          Warm Hearts Mentorship Services will host its Annual Holiday Giveback on December 18, 2025. The organization is collecting essential items now through December 15 and encourages community members, businesses, and partners to contribute. Essential items such as: shampoo, deodorant, body soap, socks, shoes, t-shirts, detergent, pajamas, bookbags, school uniforms, hair products, perfume/cologne, toothbrushes, toothpaste, underwear, etc. Please note: items are for students 6th-8th.  For donations contact Fiona Chavers at 330-268-9403. Or drop off essential items to Parkway Middle School, ask for Veronne McMain.

    About Warm Hearts Mentorship Services

    Warm Hearts Mentorship Services provides mentorship, resources, and support to youth and families throughout South Florida. The organization focuses on strengthening families, building confidence, and fostering community connection through year-round initiatives.
