It is no secret that author Clarence McKee believes President Trump’s policies are far more advantageous  for Black Americans than President Obama’s efforts ever were. “There has been little, if any, criticism of Obama’s shortcomings in terms of the Black community,” he says. He adds that most Black Americans took pride in the fact that a “Black man had been elected president of the United States and that many of “their concerns and issues would be addressed.” He   states that their “high hopes for Obama were unfilled and calls the failure to address those concerns the “dirty little secret not, or rarely discussed.” Despite that record, McKee writes that Obama remains the “darling of the Black political and civil rights establishments and the mainstream media.”

In How Obama Failed Black America and How Trump is Helping It, McKee has compiled over thirty articles from his Newsmax.com blog—The Silent Minority — to highlight what he considers Obama’s botched legacy. Comprised of 3 sections, McKee first presents Obama’s perceived failures, such as prioritizing other special interest groups over Blacks and demonizing the police while simultaneously ignoring Black on Black crime. In the second section, McKee makes his case for how Trump’s policies on illegal immigration, criminal justice reform, abortion, school choice, urban revitalization and the economy benefited Black Americans. In conclusion, McKee offers a historical perspective on how much of the Black political and civil rights leadership have continued to let down those communities. The book, published in association with Palmetto Publishing Group, has been endorsed by Evangelist Alveda C. King, Lt. Col. Allen B. West (U.S. Army Retired), Member 112th Congress, and newly elected Chairman of the Texas Republican Party, Jennifer Carroll, Former Lieutenant Governor of Florida, and George T. Farrell, Chairman of BlakPAC. McKee’s articles have been published in Tallahassee’s Capital Outlook, Human Events Online The Florida Courier, The Florida Sun, Jacksonville Free Press, The Washington Times, The Tampa Tribune, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the South Florida Times and the Westside Gazette.
