Hillary Clinton now boasts a double-digit edge over Donald Trump in their battle for the presidency, according to a new poll.

Clinton leads Trump by 10 points, 51 percent to 41 percent, in the NBC News/Survey Monkey poll released this week.

That’s the biggest spread since the tracking poll began asking about the general election matchup in May. But Clinton’s advantage over Trump shrinks to 6 points when third-party candidates enter the picture.

Clinton tops Trump 44 percent to 33 percent in that scenario, followed by Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson with 10 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein with 4 percent.

NBC News/Survey Monkey conducted its latest sampling of 11,480 adults who say they are registered to vote via online interviews Aug. 1-7. It has a 1.2 percent margin of error.

Clinton boasted an eight-point edge over Trump during last week’s version of the poll, NBC reported.

Clinton’s lead jumped from one point to eight after becoming her party’s presidential nominee at the Democratic National Convention.

Multiple polls released last week showed Clinton expanding her lead over Trump, the GOP’s presidential nominee.

Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, leads Trump by roughly seven points nation-wide, according to the latest Real Clear Politics average of polls.
