Pompano Beach Arts, in conjunction with Blanche Ely High School (BEHS), is proud to present Artists of Tomorrow: Visions of Today, an end of year exhibition highlighting the passions and creativity of a select group of youthful artists. The exhibition highlights the unique perspectives and experiences of teens within BEHS. The artists being showcased are students from 9th through 12th grade, and each one has a passion for art making. The students have taken their time to cultivate their creative vision and share their interests in painting, drawing, textiles, and three-dimensional artwork with the community. The exhibition will be mounted at Pompano Beach Cultural Center May 7 – May 31, 2024. Admission is free. For more information, www.pompanobeacharts.org

The visual arts are an essential part of the curriculum in Broward County Public Schools. The primary goal of the Visual Arts Program in Broward County schools is to enable students to develop their minds and intellectual capabilities using all forms of creative intelligence.  Creativity and self-expression are nurtured, allowing students to solve problems and think critically. Through an integrated, interdisciplinary approach, the arts provide a safe environment for the evolution and resolution of ideas. Students are challenged to be active participants in a program with high expectations. “The varied and engaging styles of artwork to emerge from this effort by these students is phenomenal,” said Dominique Sandoval, AKA Ms. Keke, BEHS art teacher. “I am amazed and delighted, over and again, by the level of quality and finesse our students display.”

Pompano Beach Cultural Center is located at 50 Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach, Florida.
