Republican Party or Confederacy

“Confederacies dedicated to dismantling democracy and suppressing peoples’ inalienable rights, freedoms, liberties, and pursuit of happiness shall not succeed! “  John Johnson II, 11/21/23

By John Johnson II

January 6, 2021, insurrection literally may serve as a prelude to the Nation’s second Civil War. This single act more closely resembled the Carolina militia’s attack on Ft. Sumter on April 12, 1861,  which led to the initial Civil War. Wikipedia defines a confederacy  as a union of people for a common purpose. America’s  most famous confederacy was the joining of the southern states to fight northern states to preserve slavery.

Our beleaguered Nation again finds itself even more divided. However, this time,  there’s  an ongoing methodical and political  plan underway  by the Republican Party or Confederacy, at the behest of former president Trump, to dismantle  America’s democratic form of government. This alignment constitutes a new Confederacy.

Trump and his Republican  Confederacy have taken a page from Hitler’s Masterplan, which they’ve directed unmitigated hatred towards Black people, immigrants,  and the LGBTQ community. These groups face targeting because they’re portrayed as villains responsible for  the “Replacement Theory.”

The next phase of their  Confederacy plan  uses the “Critical Race Theory” as their major social weapon to dehumanize Black People. Republican Governor DeSantis has  boldly stated   that African American History doesn’t have any value. Would these elected governors spewing white supremacists’ demagoguery dare declare that Roman, Jewish, or European histories don’t have any value?

Despite America’s proclamation it’s founded on a set beliefs that all people are created equal, critics have rendered this ideology  more of an abstract than actual practice. Still, this abstraction fuels the existence of a Confederacy of white supremacists who no longer view democracy as their viable form of government. Consequently, Trump is merely the tip of  the spear driving their Confederacy plan to dismantle democracy.

Before unveiling other  ongoing components of Republicans’ Confederacy plans, it’s important to debunk Attorney  General Garland’s  myth that proving Sedition is far too difficult! General George Washington charged Thomas Hickey with sedition and ordered him hanged as punishment before 20,000 on lookers. He also demanded that off duty soldiers watch as a deterrent to further acts of sedition.

Former president Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, after his assassination,  provided “heartfelt Confederate leniency” for the Southern  soldiers in 1865. Now the DOJ as well as Federal Judge Coleen  find it hard abiding by their oath to the U.S. Constitution to not show or grant any favors to anyone indicted for breaking the law. Trump manages to garner every conceivable thread of leniency available within  the slimmest margin of the law. Does this not represent the essence of the highest level of  white privileges? Obama or Hillary would never receive such treatment.

The overview presented above simply highlights the existential divide between democrats fighting to  achieve a more perfect union and Republicans governing as a Confederacy  of white supremacists. Within a blink of one’s eye, the Federal Appeal Court on November 20, 2023, handed down a ruling that will constitute a death sentence for the Voting Rights Act. Does this  ruling not represent an alignment with the Republican Confederacy?

However, Republicans and their  base  of supporters are operating as a confederacy to dismantle democracy. Their plan  literally reached its zenith with the election of Trump as the 45th president. This accomplishment meant that they had now achieved the number 1 component of their plan; complete control of the Executive Branch.

The Republican Confederacy plan also contains the following four other essential components: 2) pack the Supreme Court with a super majority of staunch conservative judges, 3) gain control of the House of Representatives and the Senate, 4) gut the 1965 Voting Rights Act, Sec. 5, which Chief Justic John Roberts was determined to weaken, and 5) gain a majority of the Nation’s governorships, especially in states with the highest electoral votes.

The major components of the Confederacy plan are in operation as you read this article. If Trump is re-elected   as president in  2024, the dismantling of America’s democracy will accelerate at mach speed.  Unfortunately, to democrats’ dismay, Republicans’ Confederacy plan has become even more dangerous with the election of Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House.

Regrettably, Johnson, a staunch right-wing conservative, is second in line for the presidency. Can this not eventually  be considered as a checkmate move in waiting to continue their threat to dismantle democracy?
