One of the staples of the early college football season is matchups between FCS and FBS football programs. FCS teams not only have the opportunity to pull off major upsets, but they also get a nice payday to boot.

According to Hero Sports, there are set to be more than 110 FCS versus FBS games in the 2024 season. The website provided a list of what FCS programs are set to be paid, including some HBCU teams.

Last season against Notre Dame, Tennessee State led all FCS teams with a whopping $1 million payout.

This season, it is Florida A&M who is at the top of the list, tied for the highest payout of the season, receiving $700,000 for their game against Miami.

Still plenty more payouts to be gathered, but here are nearly 70 2024 FCS vs. FBS payouts: https://t.co/M1rEhAg7IV

Not too far behind Florida A&M is Alabama A&M, which is set to earn $525,000 when they travel to Auburn.

Also featured on the list is Morgan State which will get $425,000 from Ohio. Jackson State and Norfolk State are each getting $350,000 from Louisiana-Monroe and East Carolina, respectively.

South Carolina State will receive $337,500 from Georgia Southern, while Alabama State makes an even $330,000 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Rounding out the list are Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina A&T, each getting $325,000 against Western Michigan and Wake Forest, respectively.

These teams are searching for the first HBCU win against an FBS program since 2018, when North Carolina A&T beat East Carolina.
