    “President Obama addressed 5 critical areas that are an integral part of our country’s continued success; 1) Building stronger communities 2) creating jobs for our citizens through rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure, 3) investing in energy and clean energy 4) investing in quality education for our students and 5) curtailing gun violence. We agree that that these five areas of concern need our immediate attention. These are also issues that the Black Newspapers have constantly addressed and will continue to focus on. Our commitment  is to our communities; it has been and will always be first and foremost.”
