The Urban League’s Summer Job Fair, took place this past weekend was a huge success, connecting nearly 500 job seekers with over 40 companies. The event aimed to provide a platform for individuals to find employment opportunities and equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in their job search.

The fair offered a range of resources to help attendees get “interview-ready.” The Career Closet provided professional attire, while headshots and resume assistance were also available. This ensured that job seekers made a lasting impression on potential employers.

The event was made possible through the support of several organizations, including Cox Media Group, Florida Barber Academy, Jody Hill Live Productions, and Enterprise Mobility volunteers. Their contributions were instrumental in making the fair a success.

The Urban League’s Summer Job Fair demonstrated the power of community collaboration in addressing employment needs. By bringing together job seekers and employers, the event helped bridge the gap and foster meaningful connections. With its success, the fair has set a high standard for future events, and the Urban League is likely to continue making a positive impact in the community.
