Lavita’s small rural community in Clewiston, where she has lived and worked for years, heard about this opportunity and unbeknownst to her began to share gifts of love towards her trip. Many said “we just want to be a part of helping Lavita represent our collective values on the global stage. This was our chance to give back and help her share her vision with the world.”

Taylor was also honored to be one of 113 students nationally to receive the President’s Education Award from President Joe Biden. She aspires to become a dermatologist. Next year she will be attending Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA.
Born May 29, 1934, Mrs. Annie Pearl Hill, continues to be active in her home town of Belle Glade, FL.; Former PBC educator; 1957 BCU and IU Graduate; served on numerous County Boards; now serves the community by delivering meals daily to members of the community who are unable to get out.
