It was mid-morning on June 4, 2018 before it dawned on me that Press Release Marketing had turned 1 year old. This edition of On The Scene is my celebration, my reflection and my motivation to continue moving forward.
For many believers, our lives are not about what you want but more so about what God has planned for you. The longer you live, you realize that you are on a spiritual journey with God as your tour guide existing mainly in the details.
Over the weekend, God was baiting the hook. Based primarily on my social influence, I was extended an opportunity to attend CHAT, South Florida’s Gospel Brunch (test) Tour. The expedition would allow media and other influencers to visit the Black church as a tourist, and unbeknownst to me, I was amazed by the experience from start to finish.
I am continuously reminded that God has a disdain for comfort zones because He specializes in building our faith by removing them. I would imagine that comfort zones look like whiteheads to God. He lets them sit there for a while, and then one day, they just must go. Pressure is applied, impurities are squeezed out, and the result is clearer skin.
Over the weekend, I attended a Media Empowerment Brunch hosted by Ardith Valencia, the CEO of Steppin Out TV, and discovered that collectively, we are what media looks like in 2018.
