  History has revealed how inept leaders, social conflicts, and political corruption eventually led to  the collapse of past great empires. This uneventful trend has continued throughout the 20th century.  Seven new empires  have also fallen.  Of these seven,   most notably amongst them included Germany, Soviet  Russia, and the British empire.
