History has revealed how inept leaders, social conflicts, and political corruption eventually led to the collapse of past great empires. This uneventful trend has continued throughout the 20th century. Seven new empires have also fallen. Of these seven, most notably amongst them included Germany, Soviet Russia, and the British empire. This signals that possibly there’s a correlation with an old Biblical scripture: “for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
America has a sordid legacy of racism, bigotry, and discrimination against the Indigenous and Black people. The attempted genocide of the Indigenous nearly led to their elimination. Black people’s enslavement for 246 years constituted an abdominal sin against humanity. This nation’s perpetual white supremacy ideology continues to create an ever widening political and racial divide.
The election of Trump as America’s 45th president and his failed attempt to capture the presidency for the 2020 election has escalated this nation’s divide. The present divide is greater than the divide that led to the Civil War.
Regardless of the political party in power, Democratic and Republican, our government including such institutions as the Supreme Court, has nurtured racism. America will inflate its debt to provide financial aid to European countries and Israel. However, any discussion of reparation for Black people would result with a resurrection of the KKK.
Chief Justice Roberts, by gutting the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Section 5, facilitated the perpetuation of systemic voter suppression. In 2021, nineteen states passed thirty-four laws restricting access to voting. Discrimination remains in education, homeownership, healthcare, policing/surveillance, criminal justice system, and treatment of the LGBTQ community.
Despite Trump being a convicted sexual offender and tax cheat, he has emerged as the lawless self-proclaimed “chosen one.” He’s plotting to harvest the vestiges of America’s nurtured systemic racism. Also, he has singled handedly turned the Republican Party and his MAGA supporters into a mindless cult.
During one of Trump’s preposterous assertions, he vowed that there will be a blood bath if he loses the election. The NFL rejected Trump’s attempts to become an owner. This didn’t result in anything other than his humiliation. Undoubtably, the NFL was well aware of his unfitness.
Remember, Trump’s ambitions are equally as dangerous as his temperament. He’s vowed to rule as a dictator if he wins the 2024 presidential election. Also, he has petitioned his personally packed Supreme Court to grant him complete immunity so that he’s no longer accountable to anyone or any law.
America for the 2024 presidential election stands at an existential juxtaposition. Whereby, a victory for Biden will preserve our democracy and forge a more inclusive society for all of America. Should Trump prevail and become America’s 47th president, he’ll dismantle our democracy and install a Fascist form of government.
Summarily, Trump’s victory will ensure America reaps what it sows!
