The Black Man’s Burden

The Gantt Report

By Lucius Gantt

One of the biggest problems that people of African ancestry face all over the world is our collective inability to access capital. We don’t have money, we can’t borrow money, and we can’t print money!

I know many readers think Oprah and other so-called billionaires have money because they are “rich”, but don’t ever get it twisted, the talk show hosts, rappers and entertainers aren’t close to being “wealthy”!

If Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffet only had one or two billion dollars in assets, they would consider themselves broke, busted and dusted!

If you don’t know, Aramco, the Saudi oil company makes at least a billion dollars a day.

Many of the wealthiest people, in my mind, have generated their wealth via the exploitation of Black people in Africa, in America and from people of color around the world.

Imagine this, if Blacks controlled the African resources, the African currencies, and the African way of living, large nations like France, Holland, Portugal, and to some extent, the USA, would go bankrupt in a matter of months.

Some whites want all Black people divided so we will remain conquered, oppressed, and taken advantage of.

Let me try to break it down a little so all Gantt Report readers can understand.

If you are a truth-teller, a community activist, a freedom fighter, a militant, or a revolutionary, the first thing evil people with power will try to do is fire you, don’t do business with you, or cut off your ability or opportunities to generate revenue.

In a capitalist society, or other money-based political and governmental systems, capital, or money, is the primary motivating factor.

If you have money, you can buy land, homes, cars, and “cat” food if you desire, if you know what I’m talking about.

Our brothers and sisters who have decent jobs or thriving businesses don’t ever worry about a thing until they get dismissed, terminated, or eliminated.

More often than not, then it is the well-to-do people of color who run to the NAACP, National Action Network or Operation Push to get a Black community group to help them, stand up for them, or speak out for them.

They are not members of the groups, and they contribute little or no money to finance the groups, but they are quick to seek assistance from Black community organizations when their money changes.

The Atlanta Life Insurance company had a long record of paying bail bonds to get Black civil rights workers, freedom riders, and others out of jail cells nationwide.

Today, rich Blacks figure they can remain rich if they shun and avoid so-called Black rabble-rousers and troublemakers.

But our strength, in Africa, in America, in the Caribbean, and around the world, is in our “pack”. If we don’t work together, we will not progress.

EarthI don’t mean we have to join the same Greek organization or Masonic group, all we need to do is accept, respect, and appreciate all our collective individual roles.

After I filed multiple lawsuits against my government employer and won every suit, I was told I would never get another job in life.

Well, it’s 2024 and I haven’t had a job since 1980. I survive because I have talent and skills and a worldwide business.

However, every month I feel like I need to hustle. No Black man or woman wakes up and says, “We need to help people like Lucius”, but my God has exposed me to financial fires, and I didn’t get burned.

My Christian friends tell me, I will be rich in “Heaven”. That’s cool but I want Heaven on Earth too!

Monetary ignorance will continue to be the Black man’s burden until we listen to, or read about, ways to generate money for all Blacks in all countries.

It can be done!
