The power of water

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”                       Isaiah 43:2 (NASB)

It can be quite enlightening when you can equate some of your everyday doings with a biblical orientation. When that happens and you recognize it, it should be shared even if the outcome is not to your likening.

I was cleaning the dirt and grime from our patio using an ordinary water hose with the normal water outlet.

The only difference was I used a small cone like water funnel at the end of the hose, which caused the water to be-come pressurized.

This small apparatus created enough of a force to remove a whole lot of the debris and some of it, like the pain from the walls, I wanted to keep!

If you are familiar with water pressure you know that the smaller the whole and the force that the water is pushed through the opening, the greater the physical power of that elusive liquid.

If left without my influence to the direction of what I wanted to be removed, I’m sure that I would have created some major projects that would take away from my fishing time.

My “honey do’s” could have quickly, within the blink of an eye, turned into: “HONEY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE…”!; here we go again with another -I told you so story.

Water, so clean, so pure and all so simple until…

Water has been known to carve deep crevices into the foundations of the earth, wash away mountains and redo scratched landscapes..

Yes, water has done some remarkable things when it comes to erosion-the entire world was rebuilt.

Life as we know it was witness to the greatest trans-formation ever set upon man, beast and all of creation, be-cause of the powers of water.

Yet, there are some countries that use the soothing  com-forts of water to allow mothers to give birth to their babies while in a pool of water.

Yes, water has changed the face of now and created times gone by. Water has  caused life to go along to another place and has taken all of life completely away.

I believe that as many forms that water can acquire, there are just as many properties that can be attributed to its un-deniable fundamental nature as a work of God’s art.

From its soul restoring, mental awakening and physical rejuvenating nature, water in the hands of the One who can is an awesome wonder.

We should not underestimate the life giving powers of water nor take for granted the abundance of it or soiling it by our misuse and noxious wastes..

“Wade in the water children; God’s gonna trouble the water. I stepped in water and the water was cold. Said it chilled my body but not my soul. Well, I went to the water one day to pray and my soul got happy and I stayed all day. There is love in the water. There is joy, yeah, in your water, yeah. Your peace is in the water. Your deliverance is in the water, yeah. Everything you need is in the water.
