    Transforming local girl into a leadHers

        At God’s Gift, a Fort Lauderdale based nonprofit organization for girls, fighting for the empowerment of world is the ultimate idea of leadership which spawned, “Transforming Tomorrow’s LeadHers: Summit.

        This Summit is a four-day powerhouse for African American girls ages 12-17, packed with lessons on self-esteem, leadership, civic engagement, entrepreneurship and character building. The audience will be comprised of 40-50 African American adolescent female and facilitated by community partners, the staff, and volunteers of God’s Gift, Inc.

        These young ladies will leave with a new view on making a difference in the world and also be geared with the tools to take action everyday in their local communities.

        The Summit is scheduled for Jan. 2-5, 2013 (during Broward County’s School Winter, Break, location to be announced). To register or to learn more, visit www.godsgiftinc.org.

        Registration ends December 15 and is only $25 per student (discounts/prices vary depending on groups)

        God’s Gift, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, recognized as a 501(c)(3) organized by the IRS. Its goal is providing a healthy environment for girls ages 7-17, promoting a healthy lifestyle by providing mentoring programs, weekend retreats, government assistance, housing assistance, career development and training college preparation, and most importantly helping girls to recognize their self-worth. God’s Gift, Inc. caters to inner city women and girls throughout Broward County, Fla.
